After completing all necessary legislative procedures, the National Assembly (NASS) has forwarded the Start-up Bill to President Muhammadu Buhari for approval.
Sen. Babajide Omoworare, Senior Special Advisor to the President on NASS (Senate) verified this in a statement made available to State House reporters on Monday in Abuja.
The president submitted the bill to NASS for consideration in a letter dated February 21 in accordance with Section 58(2) of the 1999 Constitution.
”The Start-up Bill 2021 will provide for the creation and development of enabling environment for technology-enabled start-ups in Nigeria.
”It aims to position Nigeria’s ecosystem, as the leading technology centre in Africa, having excellent innovators with cutting-edge skills and exportable capacity,” he said.
