Gidan Yanci has called on all Nigerians to actively engage in the ongoing process of constitutional reform.

The call was contained in a statement signed by a fellow, Hafsat Bello Bahara, and distributed to newsmen on Tuesday.

Recall that the Nigerian National Assembly established a Constitution Review Committee in February 2024.

The Committee identified several key areas for potential amendments, including security, fiscal federalism, judicial reform, electoral reform, gender issues, and state creation.

According to the statement, The amendment marks the sixth attempt to review the 1999 Constitution, and presents a crucial opportunity to address critical issues and strengthen democracy.

The statement further outlined ways for Nigerians to contribute to the review process.

“Develop a Memorandum- Nigerians should research and clearly articulate their proposed amendments, ensuring they align with the thematic areas or address a critical governance issue.

“Submit Input- Memoranda can be submitted electronically or physically to the National Assembly.
