Two individuals, Abiodun Abdulahi, 23, and Kazeem Sodiq, aged 31, appeared before a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Ibadan on Tuesday over alleged N150,000 stealing.
The accused, whose residential addresses were not disclosed, faced charges of conspiracy and theft.
Despite the accusations, both defendants pleaded not guilty.
According to the Prosecutor, Philip Amusan, the alleged incident occurred on March 12 in the Oke-Ado area of Ibadan.
Amusan alleged that Abdulahi stole the Infinix phone belonging to one Oluwasola Adebowale.
He alleged that Sodiq on the same date and at the aforementioned area received the stolen phone from Abdulahi, knowing it was stolen.
He said the offences contravened provisions of Sections 390(9) and 427 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The court’s president, Moji Aworemi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N250, 000 and one surety each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until April 23 for hearing.
