English Champions Manchester City produced a disciplined performance to secure a hard-earned 0-0 draw at Atletico Madrid on Wednesday to reach the Champions League semifinals 1-0 on aggregate.

It is the second consecutive semifinal for Man City after losing to Chelsea at the last edition of the cup last season. They would try again and see if they can grab the cup this season.

The English champions dominated the first half and Ilkay Gundogan struck the post with their best chance after a flowing move down the right.

Atletico enjoyed more possession after the interval and threatened to score the goal that would have taken the game into extra time but were unable to break down the visitors' defence.

The game almost ended in chaos as temper flared towards the end of the game as Felipe made a rather ferocious tackle on Phil Foden.

The referee gave Savic a yellow card while he sent Felipe off.

Atleti had to play the remaining 10 mins of the game with 10 men. Even Diego Simeone was booked for dissent by the referee.

City, bidding to win European club football's most prestigious trophy for the first time, will play record 13-times champions Real Madrid in the semifinals.
