US: Five arrested following death of six persons in San Bernardino County Desert

Authorities in San Bernardino County, California have apprehended five suspects following the discovery of six individuals shot to death in a desert community.

At a press conference, officials announced that multiple search warrants were executed, leading to the arrests of Toniel Baez-Duarte, Mateo Baez-Duarte, Jose Nicolas Hernandez Sarabia, Jose Gregorio Hernandez Sarabia, and Jose Manuel Burgos Parra.

The suspects are held without bail, with eight firearms seized during the arrests.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials, the victims had arranged to meet for a marijuana transaction, shedding light on a potential motive for the killings.

Authorities noted that the victims were likely involved in criminal activities, with the victims shot to death, and four bodies subjected to burning.

Although only three victims have been identified thus far, including Baldemar Mondragon-Albarran, Franklin Noel Bonilla, and Kevin Dariel Bonilla, officials emphasize an ongoing investigation into the incident.
