Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has cast his vote in the Yobe East Senatorial bye-election at Yerimari Bulturam PU 004, on Saturday.
While commending the peaceful conduct of the election, Buni described the process as timely and smooth.
He vowed to continue providing residents of the state with infrastructure to improve their lives.
As contained in a statement by his spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, the governor appealed to communitues where the elections are being conducted to conduct themselves peacefully.
Governor Buni said: "The peace here is beautiful, l am happy the community is fully resettled and they now conduct the election here unlike in the past when they were displaced and conduct previous elections outside their community.
"Government will continue to provide infrastructure to improve the lives of the people and for them to execute their civic responsibilities.
"We are known for peaceful elections, this time must not be different."
