Your Incompetence Responsible For Setbacks Suffered By APC In Osun, Party Faction Cautions Famodun

The Rasaq Salinsile led faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the outburst credited to Gboyega Famodun, another factional chairman of the party loyal to Governor Oyetola as a crude and gutter language employed in a needless response.

This is as it also alleged the factional chairman's incompetence and hypocrisy was responsible for the setbacks the party has suffered in the state in recent times.

In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Abiodun Agboola, the party described Famodun whom it claimed is a former chairman as a failed party administrator and harbinger of misfortune into the party.

While maintaining that the party took exception to the rude and gutter languages Famodun employed response to the Minister's views on the state of affairs of the APC in the state, the statement added that it was this type of attitude and character that made reconciliation almost impossible.

The party also accused Famodun of refusing to speak the truth and failing to act as a responsible party chairman at the early state of the crisis in the party.

According to the statement, "It is unfortunate that Famodun became an errand boy for lilly-liver politicians because of the ‘change’ they give him.

"Famodun should bury his head in shame and shut his mouth up seeing the party handed over to him enmeshed in crisis because of his ineptitude and selfishness.

“The National Caretaker and Extra Ordinary Committee and the Senator Abdullahi Adamu led reconciliation committee should take judicious note of this particular reaction of Famodun."

Gboyega Famodun had responded to the statement credited to Rauf Aregbesola, the immediate past governor of the state and current Minister of Interior that he was a member of the Rasaq Salinsile led faction of the party and a member of The Osun Progressives (TOP).

Famodun in a statement he personally signed in Osogbo on Saturday had stated that it was unfortunate that Aregbesola who was the immediate-past governor of the state could champion subversive activities against the political party that has transformed his life from that of obscurity to limelight through prestigious offices as a Commissioner in Lagos State, two terms governor of Osun State and a serving minister of the federal republic of Nigeria.

While cautioning the Minister, Famodun stated that, "Osun APC is too strong for Aregbesola to break.

“His recent statement in Ilesa reduces his status as a former governor and as a serving minister of a party he claimed to belong.

“Aregbesola is an arrogant, selfish, self-centered, reckless, wicked and inconsiderate politician who wants the whole world to be his possession.

“It is not an overstatement to categorise Aregbesola as someone who prefers to rule in hell than to serve in paradise.

“Aregbesola should be told that there is no amount of intrigues by him that is capable of bungling the second term ambition of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as it has divine guidance and pathfinder which makes him (the governor) unstoppable by any mortal, " Famodun cautioned.
