Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum marked the Armed Forces Remembrance Day (AFRD) on Sunday with N10 million and a brand new Hilux support to the Armed Forces.
At the event which took place at Ramat square in Maiduguri, the governor also donated N2 million and rice to about 200 families of the fallen heroes.
The governor appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for the successes recorded in the state's security situation.
Governor Zulum also appreciated the Nigerian Armed Forces, Police, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), hunters, vigilantees and all other security agencies who are working closely at the front line to ensure safety of lives and prosperities of all citizenry across the state and the country wide.
Funds were also raised to assist the bereaved families who lost their loved ones while protecting the integrity of the country.
Zulum promised that his administration would continue to support the bereaved falimies in all terms.
He also prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to guide and protect the soldiers and all other security agencies who are combating crimes and criminalities.
