Personal Life

Davido is a Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, and record producer who was born in Atlanta, Georgia, US, on November 21, 1992, as the last of five children. His father, Adedeji Adeleke, is a Nigerian billionaire, business magnate, founder, and president of Adeleke University. His mother, Vero Adeleke was a university lecturer before her death in 2003.

Davido is engaged to Chioma Avril Rowland, the mother of his third child, Ifeanyi Adeleke. He is also the father of two daughters – Aurora Imade Adeleke and Hailey Veronica Adeleke from previous relationships.

Education

Davido was a student of British International School, Victoria Island before he moved to Oakwood University, Huntsville, Alabama, to study Business Administration.

While at Oakwood, he developed an interest in music and then got musical instruments which he used in producing beats. He later dropped out of Oakwood to professionally pursue his musical career.

Career

In 2011, Davido relocated to Nigeria to promote his music and rose to stardom after releasing his second single ‘Dami Duro’, which he co-produced with ‘Shizzi’.

Davido co-founded HKN Music with his elder brother, Adewale Adeleke. He also founded Davido Music Worldwide DMW, in 2016. Today, the record label is home to many artists including Mayorkun, Dremo, Peruzzi, and Deinde.
