Lewis Tan was born in England and raised in Chicago. He also lived in France, Spain, Thailand, and China. He is the oldest of four brothers.

The actor keeps his personal life private so it is not known if he is single, married, or in any relationship.

Career

Tan studied acting under the tutorship of acting coach John Kirby and performed in plays. He made appearances in supporting roles in films like Hangover 3 and Olympus Has Fallen. 

He started working on TV shows like CSI: Miami, Hawaii 5-0, Rish Hour, and 24. In 2016, he was cast in a guest role in the first season of Netflix's Iron Fist. That same year, he got a role in the action film Den of Thieves alongside Gerard Butler.

The actor also starred as Gaius Chau in the third season of Into the Badlands. He played the role of Shatterstar in Deadpool 2 in 2018.

He also became a regular in the Netflix crime drama series Wu Assassins, where he played the role of Lu Xin Lee. He played the character of Cole Young, the protagonist in the reboot of Mortal Kombat (2021).
