Shan George

She was born on April 21, 1970, in Ediba, Abi Local Government Area, Cross River state, to a British dad and Nigerian mum. After having her secondary education at Edanafa Secondary Commercial School, Ediba, the actress proceeded to the University of Lagos to study Mass Communication.

While in search of a job to raise money for her tuition fee, she came upon acting. In 1997, Shan George debuted in the Nollywood movie ‘Thorns of Rose’. Before that, she had appeared in ‘Winds of Destiny’, a 1997 soap opera. While in her final year at the university, she produced her debut movie ‘All for Winnie’.

Some of the movie she has appeared in include; Outkast, Itohan, Tim ba t’aiye wa, Computer Girls, Masterstroke, Deadly Desire, More than Gold, Hidden Treasure, Welcome to Nollywood (Documentary), Connected Firm, A Can of Worms, The Wages, The State, In My Country, The Revenge of Labista, No Chance and many more.

As a musician, she dropped her debut studio album ‘Dance’ in 2010. The album got positive reviews from music critics.

Shan George had her first marriage when she was just 16. She presently has two children from broken marriages.
