History Of Birnin Gwari

Birnin Gwari Local Government Area (LGA) is located in Kaduna State, Nigeria, with its headquarters in the town of Birnin Gwari. The LGA covers a vast area of 6,185 square kilometers and had a population of 252,363 according to the 2006 census.

Birnin Gwari shares a border with Zamfara State. Birnin Gwari is bordered to the west by Niger State, Birnin Gwari shares a border with Katsina State to the north, Birnin Gwari is located within Kaduna State and shares borders with other local government areas within Kaduna State, such as Giwa, Chikun, and Igabi.
