History Of Damban

Darazo Local Government Area is located in Bauchi State, Nigeria, in the Northeast. The headquarters of Darazo LGA is in the town of Darazo. It covers an area of 3,015 square kilometers.

As of the 2006 census, Darazo LGA had a population of 251,597. The estimated population is currently put at 159,444. The area is mainly dominated by Fulani and Karai-karai people. The majority of the inhabitants are members of the Hausa ethnic group.

Several towns and villages make up Darazo LGA, including Jimbim, Gabarin, Lago, Yautare, Tauya, Wahu, Gabchiyari, and Sade. The commonly spoken languages in Darazo LGA include Hausa and the Zumbum languages. The Zumbun language is spoken in Jimbim settlement. The postal code for Darazo LGA is 750.
