History Of Ejigbo

Ejigbo Local Government Area is a Local Government Area located in Osun State, Southwest Nigeria. The headquarters of Ejigbo LGA is in the town of Ejigbo.

The towns and villages that make up Ejigbo LGA include Olla, Iwata, Ayegbogbo, Masifa, Ilawo, Afake, Ife-odan, and Olori. The estimated population of Ejigbo LGA is 79,882 inhabitants.
The vast majority of the area's dwellers are members of the Yoruba ethnic group.

Islam and Christianity are widely practiced in Ejigbo LGA.
There is also a sizeable percentage of traditional religious practitioners. The Yoruba language is commonly spoken in the area. Popular festivals in Ejigbo LGA include the Orisan Ogiyan festival.
