History Of Shelleng

Shelleng Local Government Area (LGA) located in Adamawa State, North-east Nigeria. Shelleng LGA shares borders with Guyuk and Girei LGAs. The LGA is made up of towns and villages such as Bodwai, Gundo, Jumbul, Shelleng, Timbu, Ketembere, Dunge, Boburo, Kiri, and Tallum.

Shelleng LGA has an estimated population of 190,671 inhabitants. The area is populated by members of varying ethnic groups, including the Fulani, Lala, Kana, Kuri, Kiri, and the Bura. The Bura language is spoken in Shelleng LGA, reflecting the linguistic diversity of the region.
