2023 Election: We'll Replicate Edo's Result In Lagos - PDP B

Following the outcome of the Edo governorship election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has vowed to replicate the feat it attained at the election in Lagos come 2023.

“The PDP, Lagos state chapter, has congratulated Governor Godwin Obaseki, on his re-election as Edo State Governor.

“The Lagos state chapter particularly hailed the Governor for his ability to garner the needed vote to be declared at the first ballot, in the face of rumored federal might.

“To us in Lagos state PDP we have grasped from the well-deserved victory, the renewed commitment, and resoluteness to also win Lagos state to end godfatherism & imposition in Lagos politics.

“As a matter of fact, we are now more ever than before fired up to win Lagos State. We shall manifest this ability in the coming bye-elections in the state and eventually the 2023 general elections,” he said.

It will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Sunday, announced Obaseki as the winner of the Edo State Governorship election that took place on Saturday.

While Obaseki polled a total of 307,955, the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s Osagie Ize-Iyamu, gathered a total of 223,619, losing the election to Obaseki with a margin of 84,336.
