Clubless Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is on the verge of joining Kano Pillars, AllNews reports.
The 28-year-old has been without a club since leaving Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia last October.
The versatile forward featured in Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying tie against Lesotho in March despite his inactivity at club level.

According to ACL Sports, Musa is expected to rejoin Pillars in the coming days, albeit on a short-term basis.
“Musa has practically agreed to the deal and what is left is just to iron out details of the deal,” ACL Sports’ source said.
“It is practically impossible to get a deal in Europe before May when Super Eagles will reconvene for the World Cup qualifiers and he really wants to keep himself in a competitive shape for that,” the source added.
Musa, who is Nigeria's highest-ever goalscorer at the FIFA World Cup played for Kano Pillars between 2009 and 2012.
He counts CSKA Moscow and Leicester City among his former clubs.
Ahmed Musa has played 95 matches for the Super Eagles scoring 15 goals.
He made his debut in 2010 as a Kano Pillars player.
