The publishers of Daily Trust have issued a notice to the Nigeria Police concerning the "threat" on one of its reporters by former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode, where the politician felt affronted by a question posed by the reporter; stating that they would hold Fani-Kayode responsible if "anything happens" to the reporter, adding that they stand by their reporter, as they will not stand for intimidation or threats.

2. Fani-Kayode Backpedals, Retracts His "Stupid" Comment

The former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has retracted his "stupid" comment used on a Daily Trust reporter. The former minister could be seen in footage lashing out at a Daily Trust correspondent, Eyo Charles, that asked him who was "bankrolling" his trips across states where projects are undertaken by governors under the umbrella of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), finishing off at Cross River State.

3. Buhari Berates Slow Pace of Justice Administration, Proposes 12 Month-Limit

President Muhammadu Buhari has berated the slow pace of justice administration by Nigerian courts. Buhari who expressed his displeasure on Wednesday during the 60th Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) suggested that the judiciary considers putting a 12-month time limit for the hearing of criminal cases from the high court to the Supreme Court, while all civil cases should be concluded within 15 months.

4. Ondo Decides 2020: Makinde To Head PDP Campaign Council For Governorship Election

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has been selected by the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  to head the election campaign council of the party for the Ondo state Governorship election. Making this disclosure in a release on Wednesday, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan revealed that the council has all the state governors elected under the platform of the party as members.

The Coalition of South-East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), the umbrella body of all the youth organizations in the South-East geopolitical zone, says it has set up a committee to search for suitable credible presidential aspirants that will be presented to Nigerians for the 2023 presidential election.
