APC Will Soon Collapse Woefully - Governor Tambuwal

The Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal has revealed that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is on the verge of collapsing, adding that the party had lost focus and Nigerians no longer had confidence in it to deliver its mandate as promised.

Tambuwal stated this while speaking to supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the flag-off of the Eastern Senatorial Zone campaign at Gwadabawa town, in readiness for the local government elections on March 27.

He added that was why he was not surprised by the decision of the state chapter of the APC to boycott the local government elections.

Tambuwal noted that the APC-led government had failed to deliver or execute any meaningful development projects since its inception. This, he said, will pave way for the PDP to offer Nigerians the much-needed leadership.

“The party is enmeshed in problems and it will soon collapse. Nigerians would no longer support APC, and as such it would “collapse woefully and dissolved into other political parties”.

However, Tambuwal used the occasion to appeal to the people of the state to support and cooperate with security agents in their quest to provide security in all areas of the state.

“We have been supporting them in our own way. And you know, our support has a limit because we cannot buy weapons for them as this is a prerogative of the federal government,” he said.

Tambuwal, who said his government is executing projects in all nooks and crannies of the state, urged the people to imbibe the culture of safeguarding public facilities.

He assured the 5000 that decamped to the party from APC of fairness.

The APC had withdrawn from the polls slated for March, 27, alleging that members of the State Independent Electoral Commission were card-carrying members of PDP.

The party further alleged that local governments in the state were bastardized and starved of funds by the current administration.
