"I have no words to describe what went on the court. It’s an unbelievable feeling to play at such a level. I started very nervously, I don’t know what happened after the third set, I flew like a little bird. Everything worked. The emotions are indescribable. I focused on staying calm and holding my nerves. I would also give part of my victory by being calm with my mood. I have been working on trying to keep emotions to myself," Tsitsipas said after the duel.
On Medvedev, the 22-year-old who is ranked No. globally says, "he plays really well, has a lot of consecutive wins. I need to review and do an ice bath. I am really looking forward to playing this match."
"Of course, sad. I lost a match in the quarter-finals in an event that means a lot to me. I missed an opportunity to be in the semi-finals again," said world No. 2 Nadal.
"Well done for him, he played better than me in the important moments. Was an equal match. I tried my best."

Nadal will have to wait until the French Open – a tournament he has already won 13 times – for his next chance to surpass Roger Federer in the all-time Grand Slam charts. This remains his worst major statistically, having won just one Australian Open title back in 2009.
