Fast-rising Nigerian music stars — Ayra Star and Ckay — have finally dropped the music video of their collaboration ‘Beggie Beggie’.
The music video, which was released on the evening of Wednesday, January 26, 2022, has garnered over 124,000 views on YouTube as of the time of this writing.
The 90s Nollywood-inspired visual is set at a house party and is directed by Director K.
“Old Nollywood has had some of the biggest impacts on Gen-Z fashion and style,” Ayra Starr said in a statement.
“I thought it would be fun and beautiful to re-create that era and its influence on pop culture as a whole.
"‘Beggie Beggie’ is not just a sad song, it’s about a young woman seeing things for what they are.”
'Beggie Beggie' is off Ayra Starr's debut studio album ‘19 and Dangerous’ which was released on August 6, 2021, through Mavin Records and Platoon, less than seven months after the singer's self-titled debut EP.
