The organisers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show on Wednesday, September 30, revealed that the lockdown edition recorded over 900 million votes.
The revelation was made by the Managing Director of MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe who spoke during the live prize presentation.
Ugbe noted that the votes were recorded across all voting platforms and according to him, the Lockdown recorded much more votes than the previous editions.
Also making the announcement on its official Twitter page, DSTV Nigeria wrote “#BBNaijaLockdown recorded over 900million votes across all voting platforms! We stan these fans!!!Raising hands”
AllNews earlier reported that Lekan "Laycon" Agbeleshe who emerged the winner of the lockdown edition garnered 60% of votes.
The 26-year-old rapper was ahead of other top finalists, Dorathy, Nengi, Vee, and Neo after having 60% of the total votes.
Dorathy who became the first runner-up had 21.85% of the votes, Nengi had 15.03%, Neo had 1.94% and Vee had 1.18%.

Laycon’s N85 million win entails “a N30m cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy Guinness; home appliances courtesy Scanfrost.”
