Buhari Accused By Top Biafran Activist Of Being Oil Thief

Amaka Ekwo, a former Press Secretary of Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of being an oil thief, AllNews reports.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) activist, a now-outlawed group canvassing for the sovereignty of Eastern Nigeria, however did not expound a powerful argument for her allegation.

Ekwo, while disagreeing with a tweet by fellow activist, Aisha Yesufu who insists she doesn't regret campaigning against former president, Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, opined that 'GEJ' is a better leader compared to President Buhari.

She further used the medium (Twitter) to preach the Biafra message of separation.

"You voted for Muhammadu Buhari, a man that overthrew a democratically elected president, a former dictator, an oil thief. What have you achieve?" Ekwo wrote on her known Twitter handle on Friday.

"Has he secured the North? Was Jonathan not better than Buhari? Nothing can save all nations in Nigeria but disintegration."

AllNews understands that Buhari is the Petroleum Minister of Nigeria. He has held this position since his first democratic tenure in office.
