    Nigeria's representative in the CAF Champions League Plateau United played out a 2-2 draw with Stande Mandji of Gabon in the first leg of the preliminary round at the Stade France Ville in Gabon.

    The visitors took the lead twice, only to be pegged back by Stande Mandji to ensure a share of the spoils.

    The second leg is billed for the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja on Sunday, September 18.

    NPFL Champions Rivers United will be in action in the CAF Champions League against Watanga of Liberia on Sunday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port  Harcourt.

    Enyimba was the last Nigerian team to win the CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004.
