Following her announcement for her forthcoming release earlier this week, Cardi B has finally dropped her first single of the year titled ‘UP’, accompanied by the music video.
It’s her first new music since her 2020 explicit hit collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, WAP, which topped Rolling Stone‘s ‘Best Songs of 2020’ list.
Before the video premiere, Cardi, via YouTube Livestream, said she wanted the track to be more gangster as her last one was too sexy.
‘Up’ along with ‘WAP’ are expected to appear on Cardi’s highly-anticipated sophomore album due sometime this year. It will be the follow-up to her 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy.
