COVID-19: Global Deaths From Coronavirus Top 86,000

The total number of deaths from coronavirus globally has topped 86,000, this is according to a tally done by AFP, from official sources.

Coronavirus, present in 192 countries and territories, has a record of 1,469,920 cases of infection, with 280,300 recovering from the disease.

The presented numbers do not reflect the actual number of people infected, as some countries do not have enough testing kits, while some test only those who have serious cases of infection.

The country leading with the most number of new deaths is the United States, recording a total of 1,808 deaths, closely followed by Birtain with 938 deaths, Spain with 757, and Italy 542.

The total number of deaths in Italy surpasses those of any other country, recording a total of 17,699 deaths and 139,422 cases.

Spain has a death toll of 14,555, with a total of 146,690 cases of infection.

The United States falls behind Spain, recording a total of 404,352 coronavirus cases, with 13,829 deaths.
