COVID-19: US Records Over 100,000 Deaths

Over 100,000 people have died from coronavirus in the United States, according to a data provided by the Johns Hopkins University Centre for Systems Science and Engineering.

The report by the university showed that 100,047 people in the United States had lost their lives to the virus, with the number of confirmed cases standing at 1,694,599.

CNN stated that in New York alone, there have been 29,370 recorded deaths with 364,965 confirmed coronavirus cases.

Following the 'Big Apple', is the northeastern state of New Jersey with 156,628 confirmed cases and11,339 fatalities.

Globally, the virus has killed over 353,414 people, while over 5.6 million people have been infected.
