The tragic incident took place on April 11, 2021, and the Wright was stopped over what the cops say was an expired tag. An officer drew her weapon during the process and after yelling "Taser!", shot him, leading to his demise.
The shooting occurred ten miles from where George Floyd, another Black man, was killed by ex-officer Derek Chauvin, who was recently convicted for the murder.
Wright's killing sparked demonstrations in Brooklyn Center, with conversations about policing and the use of force brought up yet again.
