Nigerian singer, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known by his stage name Davido, has advised electorates to be safe, adding that they are all in his prayers.
AllNews reports that the Edo State gubernatorial election is currently ongoing.
The two leading contenders are Godwin Obaseki and Osagie Ize – Iyamu of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) respectively.

Davido has often campaigned for the PDP, previously endorsing his uncle, Ademola Adeleke for governor in Osun, his state of origin.
Edo State is a state in Southern Nigeria. Its capital is Benin City. The 2014 estimated population of the Edo state is 5 million people. It is made up of 4 major ethnic groups; namely the Bini, Esan, Owan, and Etsako.
