EndSARS: Omokri Gives Reasons Why More Nigerians Should Join

Reno Omokri, a former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan has given the reason why more Nigerians should join the #EndSARS protest.

Omokri who took to his Twitter page to urge more Nigerians to join the #EndSARS protest told those calling Buhari the father of the Nation to have a rethink.

Further faulting Buhari's response to the Zabarmari massacre, Omokri pointed out that when his son was rushed to the hospital, Buhari immediately visited the hospital but has failed to visit the Jere local government after the Zabarmari massacre.

"Those of calling General #Buhari the father of the nation should rethink. When his son was injured, @MBuhari  rushed to the hospital in minutes. But has he visited Zabarmari, S Kaduna, or Zamfara, where Nigerians have been killed? This is why you should join the #EndSARS movement," Omokri tweeted.

It will be recalled that Omokri had on Wednesday charged the lawmakers not to pass the 2021 budget if President Buhari failed to honour their invitation over the rising cases of insecurity in the north.

"If General #MBuhari refuses to honour the summons of the National Assembly to address them on the worsening state of insecurity in Nigeria, the National Assembly should refuse to pass the 2021 budget, or honour any requests for loans by the President," Omokri tweeted.

Following the killing of rice farmers at the Zabarmari community in the Jere local government area of Borno State,  the members of the House of Representatives had summoned President Muhammadu Buhari to answer questions on the security situation of the country.

However, the President who initially agreed to honour the invitation of the lawmakers made a u-turn after he met with states Governors.

Backing Buhari's refusal to appear before the lawmakers, the Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami said that the lawmakers did not possess the constitutional right to summon President Buhari.
