City as usual held 65 percent of the possession after 90 minutes and gave the remaining 35 to Sheffield United.

The opener came in the 28th minute as injury-free De Bruyne found Kyle Walker all the way out but not far from the box, the English man gave Pep Guardiola the need strike, with a volley from 17-19 yards out to find the bottom corner past Ramsdale.

City now moves up to 7th with 11 points and a game at hand while Sheffield dropped deeper into the relegation zone with just 1 point from 7 games.

The next stop for City is the UEFA Champions League match against Olympiacos while Sheffield United travels to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea
