Google Sponsored Indian Courier App Dunzo Seeks To Generate $150 Million
Google LLC. backed up delivery service, Dunzo Digital Private Ltd operating in eight Indian cities aims to double the amount of capital it has raised so far to extend its reach across the country and become a $1 billion revenue business in the next two years.
The app has lured Indians with its rapid delivery of items ranging from groceries to parcels in traffic-clogged cities. It connects low-cost couriers to thousands of individual merchants. Read more here.
Google Bug Disrupts America, Delta, United Airlines Online services
The booking systems operated by American, Delta and United Airlines stopped their online services earlier this week because of a software bug in Google’s platform powering the airlines' operations.
Customers experienced the disruption when attempted to book a flight with one of the three airlines that encountered page loading errors, and the only way to get around the problem was to turn to the phone booking system of each company. Read more here.

Google Cloud announced on Tuesday that it has joined the FinOps Foundation as a premier member.

Google Chrome Desktop Gets Sharing Hub Features
Google Chrome for Desktop gets a nifty new feature to help users easily share web pages with just a few clicks. The company is working towards bringing the popular sharing Hub features to chrome Desktop for Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS. The feature is now available for Chrome users on the Canary channel.
Presently, the new sharing hub features are available on Chrome mobile apps and it allows users to share a web page with your WhatsApp contact, Messages and other apps and this is also available on Chrome Desktop. Google Quietly Acquires 3D Audio Startup Dysonics
Google has acquired Dysonics, a startup company for 3D audio technology — a move that is now suspected to be geared towards improving Pixel buds.
The acquisition happened in December, according to a filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, but was not reported. The company previously developed a wireless motion sensor for headphones, called Rondo Motion, which modified the sound output based on how your head was turned (giving you VR-like spatial awareness). Dysonics also partnered with Virgin America at one point to bring its 3D sound to in-flight entertainment systems. Read more here.
