Gulder Ultimate Search: Do2tun Slams People Criticizing Toke Makinwa

Nigerian On-Air-Personality Do2dtun has slammed people who are criticizing the choice of Toke Makinwa as the host of the 2021 edition of the much-anticipated Gulder Ultimate Search reality TV show.

Shortly after Makinwa was announced the host, there was an outcry on social media, arguing that she is not fit to anchor the show.

Some held that a show such as Gulder Ultimate Search is not meant for Makinwa, instead, she should host fashion pageant shows.

It was even suggested that actress Kate Henshaw is a better candidate as an anchor owing to her enthusiasm for physical fitness.

In defense of Makinwa, Do2tun stated that those people bashing the media personality are not ready for the inclusivity and the topic of lifting women's spirit that is usually argued on the social media space.

Do2tun hammered on the fact that she is the first woman to host the show and asked people to allow her to prove herself.

He wrote, "If you are a woman & you one of those bashing Toke then it’s clear some of you are not ready for inclusivity; women lift women spirit; you all speak about.

"Why can’t it be abt her being the 1st ever woman to host the show & let her prove herself 1st. It’s a leg in the door 1st."
