Ortom Charges New Commissioners On Positive Leadership

Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has charged the newly sworn-in commissioners and Special Advisers to sustain the positive leadership qualities that qualified them for appointment. 

The Governor gave this charge Thursday, after  performing the swearing-in ceremony of the new members of the State Executive Council at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue Peoples House Makurdi.

Ortom Inspects Ongoing Projects In Makurdi

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom on Tuesday inspected ongoing roads and other projects in Makurdi, the state capital. 

The Governor assured that the road projects, the 1.2 kilometers NKST Yina to George Akume way, awarded at the cost of N890 million and the 1.3-kilometer Low-Cost Housing Estate, Naka Road to Bamban Community at the cost of N430 million will be completed within six months.

Benue: Lassa Fever Kills WHO Doctor

A medical doctor identified as Samuel Nyityo has died of Lassa fever in Benue State.

According to reports, the medical doctor, who was working with the World Health Organisation (WHO) was diagnosed with Lassa fever and was rushed to a hospital before he died on Sunday.

Professor Joseph Ngbea, the state Commissioner for Health and Human Services confirmed the death of the doctor.

Ortom Promises To Complete NASME-Yogbo-Udei Roads Before End Of 2023

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has given assurances that the construction of NASME-Yogbo-Udei-Branch Udei and Gbajimba-Daudu Roads will be completed before the end his tenure in 2023. 

Ortom said this  Monday, while receiving a delegation of Isherev Communities from Makurdi and Guma Local Government areas at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi.

Ortom Promises To Complete NASME-Yogbo-Udei Roads Before End

The Governor stated that the contractors who had gone on Christmas vacation will soon resume to the sites, stressing that work on the roads will be sustained with earth work, construction of bridges and culverts, laterite and application of tar.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has promised to offer employment to Miss Helen Abeh, daughter of late Likita Abeh who died December 2021.

Miss Helen Abeh is the daughter of the late elder statesman, Likita Abeh, who hails from Ugondo, Mbadwem Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State.

Benue State Government Supports Families Of Late Army With Over N60 Million

The Benue State Government is to give financial support to families of more than 120 security personnel who were killed in their line of duty while defending the state from 2017 to date.
