N-Power: One Year After Disengagement By Buhari Administration, 14, 200 Beneficiaries’ Monthly Stipends Embezzled By Federal Ministry

Over 14, 000 former N-Power beneficiaries are still at a loss regarding their five-month outstanding stipend arrears.

Despite the promise by Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria, to pay all outstanding stipends of exited N-Power beneficiaries before the end of 2020, the Nigerian youths are still yet to get paid - eight months after her pledge. N-Power: FG Engages 70 N-SIP Monitors – Minister

Hajiya Sadiya Umar-Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, disclosed this at the presentation of engagement letters and devices to the monitors, on Monday in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.

Umar-Farouq, represented by the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Legal Matters, Aminu Shamaki, said each of the independent monitor was expected to monitor a designated number of beneficiaries of the programme. Read more here.

N-Power: NSIP Aims At Poverty Reduction, Says FG

The Federal Government has said that the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), which the famed N-Power scheme is one of, was introduced to reduce hunger among vulnerable Nigerians.
