Benue: APC Accuses Ortom Of Embezzlement Through Hasty Contract Awards 

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has accused the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom of embezzling state funds under the guise of contract awards.

Army Veterans Call For Review Of Retirement Age

The Nigerian Army Veterans on Friday called for a review of the retirement age of serving personnel with a view to maximize the potential of trained specialists.

LP Dismisses Report Of National Chairman's Suspension

The Labour Party has dismissed reports of the purported suspension of its national chairman, Julius Abureby its Ward Executive in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State, saying the masterminds are being sponsored by opposition parties.

The LP said no reasonable party member would be thinking of suspension when they are pursuing their presidential mandate in the Election Petition Tribunal and all other mandates including the Governorship, Senate and House of Representatives that were brazenly stolen. Read more here.

Emmanuel Ogebe, a Nigerian lawyer based in the United States, has penned a letter to the British authorities asking for a probe into the alleged meeting between the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kayode Ariwoola and the President-elect, Bola Tinubu in London.

Ogebe is seeking action on the part of the Uk government after it was alleged that Ariwoola and Tinubu met secretly to discuss the legal issues surrounding the case challenging the latter's election victory. Read more here.

NAFDAC Seals Water Factory In Imo Over Illegal Production

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has arrested one person for allegedly being involved in illegal water production and sealed the factory.

Usman Ameh, NAFDAC’s Chief Laboratory Technologist, led a team of NAFDAC officials from the Agency’s Investigation and Enforcement department, Apapa, Lagos to seal the factory located in Owerri West Council Area of Imo on Friday. Read more here.
