#LekkiMassacre: Actor Alexx Ekubo Says Lekki Toll Gate Should Be Renamed

Nollywood star Alexx Ekubo has suggested that the name of the Lekki toll gate be changed following the tragic incident that took place there exactly two years ago.

Those participating in the procession on Thursday were teargassed by the police in what has marred a peaceful exercise.

Speaking via his official Instagram page, Ekubo stated that the name Lekki Toll plaza should be renamed Lekki Memorial Way.

He added that the gate should also be toll-free as citizens have paid in full with their blood.

"Dear Nigerian Government, we will NEVER forget this day. We will return the favour. The Labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain.

"I still maintain, Lekki Toll plaza should be renamed Lekki Memorial Way & remain toll-free forever. We paid in full with our blood. 

"Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta", Ekubo wrote.
