Microsoft Releases New Edge Dev Channel Version

Redmond tech giant Microsoft has released the Edge Dev Channel browser built on Chromium 91, while the Edge Canary browser is built on Chromium 92.

The Canary version is being updated daily and the Dev version should be more stable, with weekly new builds. Microsoft hopes to keep the mobile browsers in lockstep with the desktop counterpart and keep all their versions, including Windows, Mac and Android in sync with a common code base. Read more here.

Microsoft Introduces FPS Boost Support To 13 EA Games On Xbox Series X/S

Microsoft has introduced a bit of treat for Xbox lovers on Friday in the form of FPS Boost support for 13 EA titles, including Battlefield 5, Titanfall 2, and Star Wars Battlefronts 2.

Launched back in February, FPS Boost is designed to increase frame rates of legacy Xbox One games when run on Xbox Series X/S. Read more here.

Microsoft Releases Update For Students With New Classroom Pen 2

Redmond tech giant, Microsoft has updated its Surface Classroom Pen with a second-generation version that will be available on 27 April 2021.

Microsoft launched its first Classroom Pen in 2019. Priced at $39.99 per pen, it worked with any device that supported the MPP protocol. The new Classroom Pen 2, which will be sold directly to schools, is even cheaper, costing $399.80 for 20 of them, which means a single pen costs about $19.99. But it seems like the pen is only optimized for Surface Pro and Surface Go devices. Read more here.

Microsoft Edge Canary For Android Gets New Updates

The newly launched Microsoft Edge Canary browser for Android has received its first update on taking the app version to 91.0.862.0 and the update adds two new features, general bug fixes, and performance improvements.

The newly updated Microsoft Edge Canary has a new menu design that now shows a vertical list of options vs grid icons in the previous update. Also, the new Edge canary no longer shows open tabs in a graphic preview. Instead, users get a compact list of items. Read more here.
