CKay

Emo-Afrobeats artiste, CKay has marveled at the way he was received by his North American and European fans during his recently-concluded tour.

In a series of tweets on Friday, Ckay said that his audiences were 80% non-Africans and it almost felt like they love Afrobeats more.

Addressing those who called him a TikTok artiste because his song ‘Love Nwantiti’ blew up on it, CKay said he has also received plaques for ‘Emiliana’.

He mentioned that his fans are singing his album ‘Sad Romance’ word for word and he is proud of himself and his team.

“Been on tour for the past two months and it’s crazy how my audiences were like 80% non-Africans! It’s almost like they love afrobeats more than us now ?. North America and Europe showed up!

“They said we couldn’t sell out venues because love nwantiti was just a tiktok hit. Well, we did and we have plaques for emiliana too, plus the fans were singing the new album word for word! I’m proud of myself and my whole team. We’ll do this even bigger and better next year!” He tweeted.

According to CKay, he has a lot of plaques, and paying for streams cannot buy that type of love.

He also appreciated the fans that genuinely supported him.

“No streaming farm can buy this type of love. Plaques full my crib. Very few can brag of this so I will never take it for granted. I appreciate all my fans who genuinely support me and prove to the world that what is real will last.

Furthermore, he announced his ‘Sad Romance’ Tour, scheduled to take place on December 15 in Lagos.

“To wrap up the year we bringing the Sad Romance Tour to Lagos December 15! See you soon!”
