THROWBACK: Fr Mbaka-Anointed Nnamdi Kanu Says Anybody Who Can Kill Wike Will Get N100 Million [AUDIO]

It's Thursday, and AllNews travels back in time to October 2020 when pro-Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu offered N100 million "bounty" on the head of a democratically-elected governor in Nigeria, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, for opposing the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Diaspora-based Kanu and his IPOB group are agitating for the break-up of Nigeria, saying they want a sovereign Biafra nation.

In April 2021, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka, the Catholic Priest and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, blessed Kanu, and described him as "my spiritual son and brother" earlier in May 2021.

Governor Wike had directed security operatives to arrest anyone connected with the Federal Government proscribed IPOB in the south-south state.

Wike’s directive came after a clash between suspected IPOB members and security agents at the time left two police officers killed. This was even as the IPOB members reportedly razed the Police Area Command, Obigbo, Afam Divisional Police Office, and a court, all in Oyigbo Local Government Area (LGA) of Rivers.

Reacting to the development at the time in a statewide broadcast, Governor Wike placed N50 million bounty for the capture of one Stanley Mgbere who allegedly led IPOB members to carry out the fatal attacks in Oyigbo town.

The Rivers State governor said the proscribed group has continued to expand membership drive, holding meetings regularly, and expanding its logistical base.

"Security agencies are directed to stop any form of procession or agitation by IPOB in Rivers or any part thereof and arrest and prosecute any person or group that identifies with IPOB in the State. Government will issue executive order to strengthen effective enforcement of these measures.

“Today (Friday, October 23, 2020), IPOB continued with its devilish and destructive activities at Rumukwurushi, Iriebe and Oyigbo in open defiance of the State Government’s curfew on human movements,” Governor Wike had said.

Displeased with Governor Wike’s decision, Kanu in one of his routine online broadcasts in October 2020, one which was monitored by this reporter, doubled the bounty the Rivers governor placed on Mgbere, putting N100 million on Governor Wike head.

"Wike offered 50 million bounty on the head of a Biafran. Wike, we will double it on your own head," Kanu said.

"Anybody that takes out Wike will get N100 million naira - set aside.

"If you do it and I don't give you 100 million, then you know [that] I am not a human being, that I am an animal.

"Wike is 100 million. Anybody who can take him down, 100 million - dead or alive.

"One hundred million, on the head of Wike. Hundred million.

"He is an idiot. A fool he is.

"Because you grow little Hitler moustache, you think you've arrived - idiot."

He continued: "Wike is one hundred million for his head.

"I will pay cash. And the money is in Biafraland. I will pay cash - one hundred million, take down Wike. One hundred million cash.

"Wike is one hundred million. I will pay you cash. One hundred million. Vagabond! A bounty on Wike's head is hundred million. And I will pay it. One hundred million on Wike's head.

"Get me his head, you have one hundred million."
