2. Another Tanker Explodes On Otedola Bridge

Another tanker conveying diesel exploded on Otedola Bridge, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday causing heavy traffic at the Berger-Alausa-Magodo axis of Lagos State.

3. WTO: US Counters Okonjo-Iweala With New Decision

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala's appointment as the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) might suffer a setback as the United States called for reopening of the WTO election despite majority of WTO members supporting Okonjo-Iweala.

Okonjo-Iweala had toppled eight other candidates, including South Korea’s trade minister, Yoo Myung Hee, who has the support of the US. It was gathered that the US want a candidate that has trade experience, which Okonjo-Iweala doesn't have. Read more here.

4. Insecurity: Release Of Kankara Schoolboys Has Vindicated Buhari, Tinubu Says

One of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  Bola Tinubu has held that the recent release of students of Governement Science Secondary School Kankara in Katsina state has vindicated President Muhammadu Buhari.

Tinubu who said this in a statement on Satruday further pounted out the need to upgrade the country's Security infrasturcture. Read more here.

5. COVID-19: We Cannot Afford Another Total Lockdown - Sanwo-Olu Warns

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State has revealed that the state cannot afford to go on another total lockdown.

6. Biafra: ‘Buhari Govt Wrong To Have Proscribed IPOB’

Anambra State President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene has called on the Nigerian Government to erase the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) because, he argued, the organization does not threaten lives and property.

7. Katsina Bandit Attack: Our Abductors Are Not BokoHaram - Kankara Schoolboy Reveals (VIDEO)

One of the students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina state, recently released by their abductors has revealed that the people that abducted them were not Boko Haram.

Making this revelation while speaking with Arise TV during the meeting between the students and President Muhammadu Buhari, the schoolboy said that their abductors dealt severely with them. Read more here.

8. Explosion Rocks Borno, Four Killed

An explosion has gone off in Konduga town, Borno State, killing four people. 

Militia and humanitarian sources disclosed to AFP on Saturday that the explosion was caused when a teenage girl killed blew herself up in a crowd. Read more here.

9. ASUU Strike: BUK Alumni Urges FG, ASUU To Consider Students’ Future

The Chairman of Bayero University Alumni, Kano State, Dr. Kabiru Jinjiri has appealed to the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to sheathe their swords on the protracted industrial action in the interest of the future generation.

Kabiru Jinjiri, who is Chairman of Class ’89 set of the university made the appeal during the presentation of a N5 million Cheque donation to their Alumni to support indigent students in the university. Read more here.

10. COVID-19: Biden To Receive Vaccine Monday

The President-elect of United States, Joe Biden will on Monday publicly receive his first dose of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine, AllNews reports.

Biden, Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, made the announcement on Friday as Vice President Mike Pence, Senate Majority Leader Meitch McConnell, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi became the highest-ranking government officials to receive their doses. Read more here.
