OFFICIAL: Eric Dier Pens New Contract With Tottenham Till 20

Tottenham midfield anchor, Eric Dier has signed a new contract which put him at the club till 2024.

The defensive midfielder has committed his future to Tottenham Hotspur by putting pen to paper on a new contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs have officially announced.

The midfielder, who is also equally capable of playing at center-back, was out-of-contract in North London next summer and fears were mounting that he may wish to explore a fresh challenge. The former Sporting Lisbon man has now put those concerns to bed by signing a new four-year deal, which will keep in North London until the summer of 2024.

Dier has been a regular under Jose Mourinho since the Portuguese chief landed the job last November.

The news of Dier penning a new deal comes just days after he completed his four-match ban for being charged by the Football Association earlier this month.

The England international was banned for four-games and handed a fine of £40,000 after being charged with misconduct for climbing into the stands to confront a Spurs supporter following the club's FA Cup defeat to Norwich City in March.

Though the ban brought an end to Dier's run in the team, he is highly-regarded by Mourinho and had been a regular fixture for him up until the ban was issued.

In total, the 26-year-old, who will be looking to force his way back into the side for Sunday's Premier League finale against Crystal Palace, has racked up 239 appearances for Spurs, scoring 11 goals during that time.

He took to Twitter to share a story about his journey at the club.
