A Chinese official in the city of Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, charged with the responsibility of closing-off and controlling the Sanmin residential community has been fired over negligence in his duty, as six new cases were reported in the city.
Zhang Yuxin, the official, was fired on Monday, for his poor control of the Sanmin community, under the Changqing Street jurisdiction, where he served a secretary and member of the Changqing Street working committee, which is under the Communist Party of China.

Wuhan saw six fresh coronavirus cases recorded on Saturday and Sunday, with all the infected emerging from the Sanmin residential community.
Earlier, the Sanmin community recorded 20 coronavirus cases according to Xinhua reports.
