A tanker has exploded in Ogun State, leaving three persons dead and scores of cars burnt.
The fuel tanker exploded in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, southwest Nigeria, burning several vehicles with three persons feared dead.
The fuel tanker exploded around 8:15 am on Tuesday morning, January 19, on the Presidential Boulevard Road around Guaranty Trust Bank opposite Lawson Group School, Kuto, Abeokuta in Ogun State, southwest Nigeria.
The fuel tanker was reportedly carrying 33,000 litres of petrol.

According to eyewitnesses, the fuel tanker lost control while descending from an overhead bridge. It hit a motorcycle in motion and rammed into some commercial vehicles waiting for passengers at the end of the bridge.

Meanwhile, officials of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) were seen at the scene controlling the traffic.
