PDP: Atiku, Wike Meet Today In Abuja

PDP: Atiku, Wike Meet Today In Abuja

The presidential flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State will meet on Monday in Abuja to resolve their differences.

The Nigerian Tribune reports that sources revealed that Atiku's camp is led by the governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, Honourable Adamu Waziri, Honourable Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), a former governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke and Jide Adeniji.

Governor Wike's camp consists of former minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Bello Adoke, a former minister of information and national orientation, Professor Jerry Gana, Ex-Governor Donald Duke of Cross River; ex-Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State and ex-Governor Ibrahim Dankwanbo, of Gombe State, among others.

Wike had travelled out of the country to France during the weekend and the reconciliatory meeting is the second between him and Atiku.

The scheduled convergence comes on the heels of the former denying that he sued the presidential candidate and Governor Aminu Tambuwal to court over the PDP primary election.
