Gaming giant, Sony has announced on Friday that the next PlayStation State of Play will be available for gamers to watch on Twitch or YouTube from 27 October at 5 pm ET/2 pm PT.
Sony stated that the 20 minutes show will focus on announcements and updates for upcoming third-party releases headed to Sony’s PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
According to the gaming giant, the event will primarily look at previously announced games plus a few reveals from Sony’s partners around the world,
This next State of Play is expected to be the first big PlayStation event since the PlayStation Showcase which aired back in September. The event finally brought viewers a trailer for God of War Ragnarok among other reveals.
Head of PlayStation Studios, Hermen Hulst confirmed the news earlier this year in a post shared on the PlayStation blog, saying “we’ve made the decision to push that game out to next year, to ensure that Santa Monica Studio can deliver the amazing God of War game that we all want to play.”
If Hulst's statement has not changed, then the next God of War game originally planned for release sometime in 2021 will still be delayed to 2022 to ensure that Santa Monica Studio delivers the amazing game that is desired.
