PSPAN Open: Why Yemisi Olatunji Is Always Difficult To Beat - Opponent In Final

PSPAN Open: Why Yemisi Olatunji Is Always Difficult To Beat

Finalist at the 5th Professional Squash Players Association of Nigeria (PSPAN) Open Tournament, Blessing Isaac, says Yemisi Olatunji's experience in the game means it will always be difficult for any player to defeat her on court.

Isaac and Nigeria squash Empress, Olatunji Sr. squared off at the women's final of the 5th PSPAN Open Tournament at the Eko Club in Lagos on Sunday as squash activities in Nigeria returned - albeit on a low key.

Olatunji cruised to victory 3-0 (11/2,11/4,11/1).

While Isaac is hopeful of beating the World No. 127 someday, she took pride at reaching the finals after dispatching the likes of Risikat Ahmed and Utukpe Favour.

"I feel good and excited," Isaac told AllNews.

"She is an experienced player, and I always have one or two things to learn anytime I watch her play or as my opponent because she is this person I have always want to beat.

"And I know that is coming soon, which is not far from now because I always believe that overtaking is allowed."

Meanwhile, in the men's category, Gabriel Olufunmilayo defeated AbdulRahman Lanre 3-1 (11/8,11/7,11/13,11/9) to emerge the overall winner of the 5-day event.
