Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Showcases Its 5G’s 8K Video Snap Feature Underwater Expedition

Samsung has teamed up with National Geographic Traveller India to showcase Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G’s 8K Video Snap prowess underwater expenditure.

Samsung display has proved that smartphones cameras are getting more powerful these days to the point that some can replace entry-level pro cameras and DSLRs.

National Geographic Explorer and Wildlife Filmmaker Malaika Vaz captured the majestic and gentle Tiger Sharks in their natural habitat using Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G’s 8K Video Snap feature. Malaika dived deep off Fuvamulah, the shark island of the Maldives. also called the Island Paradise.

In the YouTube video shared by Samsung India, the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G wasn’t used under the sea naked. No waterproof phone could survive salty and erosive seawater for a long time and at such a great depth.

The phone was confined in a specially-designed case made for underwater photography, but that didn’t get in the way of the real point that Samsung wanted to make in its marketing stunt.

The crew traveled to Fuvamulah, the shark island of Maldives, to chance upon the ironic Tiger Sharks, one of the ocean’s greatest predators but also gentle around humans (unless provoked, of course). While waiting for the sharks to appear, Vaz also had the opportunity to encounter other forms of marine wildlife in their natural habitat and, more importantly, in great and colorful detail.

The 8K Video Snap lets users pull out 33MP high resolution stills from a cinematic 8K video, so they don’t have to choose between capturing stills and videos.

Samsung Uses the opportunity to inform prospective buyers that Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G has a quad rear camera that features an upgraded 108MP pro sensor, from which users can capture 12bit HDR photos with 64 times richer colour data and more than three times wider dynamic range. For the first time on a Galaxy smartphone, users can shoot in 4K at 60fps across all lenses including the front and the four rear four lenses.
