Popular Nigerian musician, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan has been reported dead.
News about his dead came Sunday morning in a statement signed by Dr. Kayode Fasasi.
"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of multitalented veteran singer, rapper, song writer Olanrewaju Fasasi, aka Sound Sultan," Dr. Fasasi wrote in the statement.
"He passed away at the age of 44 following a hard fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma."
He is survived by his wife, three children and his siblings.
The family begged for utmost privacy as they come to grips with the tragic loss.
