Sound Sultan To Release Posthumous Album, ‘Reality Cheque’

The posthumous studio EP ‘Reality Cheque’ of beloved Nigerian singer and songwriter Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan is set to be released.

Now Muzik and Naija Ninja announced the summer release of his eagerly anticipated 9th studio album, a creative collaboration with award-winning producer ID Cabasa that was near completion before the demise of the music icon on July 11, 2021.

The EP will contain six tracks and is to be released in early July under the Naija Ninja imprint.

The tracklist and featured artist list will be released in May.

Now Muzik confirms it has been granted the Right of Attorney by the Fasasi family to manage the assets and legacy of the deceased artist.

Preparatory work has commenced in key areas of Sound Sultan’s interest including music, theatre, television, film, fashion, basketball, and live events.

A Sound Sultan Prize for Social Impact is also being instituted.
